Shortly – we’ll release a Facebook app which will allow you to vote for upcoming features that are most important to you. This way, we’ll allow you to assist in prioritizing which things get delivered first.
This voting app should be coming in early October.Eric Poulin

Thanks for the idea!Eric Poulin
KeymasterJuly 22, 2011 at 7:08 amPost count: 381in reply to: Increasing Page Load Times #3922I haven’t seen any errors like this. Are you running on a slower machine perhaps? Script warnings are based on timers – if a script takes too long to run this message would appear. Have you been able to determine what activity you are doing in CalendarBudget that causes this warning?
I do have some script performance enhancements planned but hadn’t prioritized them because, as far as I knew, it wasn’t an important issue.Eric Poulin
KeymasterJune 16, 2011 at 4:24 pmPost count: 381Thanks – I appreciate your comment.
Split transactions has been on our list for a while, but for the moment – mobile development has taken all of our development time. We do still plan to implement split transactions but its not likely to happen for several more months. However, in the mean time, it is very easy to manually split transactions. When you have a transaction come in (from the reconciling assistant) just drag it onto your calendar, then edit it, changing the amount, and create a 2nd transaction for the differing amount. The reconciling assistant is smart enough to recognize when you’ve done this and will count the total balance for the day when looking to see if your day is reconciled.

Thanks again for your suggestion.Eric Poulin
KeymasterJune 3, 2011 at 2:22 amPost count: 381in reply to: Unspent amount in categories rolling over? #3911I know exactly what you mean. We do have plans to do this – focused on CalendarBudget mobile at the moment. While this is on our list, it not likely to see the light of day for at least area more months.

KeymasterApril 15, 2011 at 1:42 amPost count: 381in reply to: Foreign currency #3908Definitely Firefox is superior. I just tried the change and the currency immedaite changed to British Pounds (after a reload of CalendarBudget. I used en-GB, rather than en-UK. Try the GB one…
I can adjust CalendarBudget so it also handles en-UK also.Eric Poulin
KeymasterApril 9, 2011 at 6:15 pmPost count: 381in reply to: Foreign currency #3905At the moment, CalendarBudget supports multi-currency by checking the browser locale.
If you go to you browser settings and look for language settings, you’ll find you can set your browser to the country and language you live in.
For example, if you live in UK, you’d want to set the locale to en_GB, which is the UK English. When you do this, the currency in CalendarBudget should change to pounds. If you want specific instructions for your browser, let me know which browser you are using and which country/language you are trying to get going (and what currency) – I’ll provide instructions for you.Eric Poulin

I had this come up before. What type of information would you want to put in the description field?Eric Poulin
KeymasterMarch 9, 2011 at 2:18 pmPost count: 381in reply to: Text Alerts #3861yeah same question..if instant email is not available why not use of instant text messaging to get the info
What do you mean by “instant email”? At the moment our email system sends bill reminders.. do you want some of the alert info included in the emails? Or only when alert values reach certain thresholds?

KeymasterDecember 24, 2010 at 6:30 pmPost count: 381in reply to: Daily Expense Balance display on calendar #3901Ben,
The running total of your bank account is what most people need for planning their finances. We didn’t see a need to show the total of daily expenses. Unfortunately, there isn’t a way to show that on the calendar. However, if you have a need for that, you can export your data to a spreadsheet and write the appropriate formulas there. Not ideal, but it will work.Eric Poulin
KeymasterDecember 1, 2010 at 6:11 pmPost count: 381I know what you mean. That’s why I created CalendarBudget :)
If you are syncing through Google calendar – it caches things and only updates every (trying to remember) 6 hours or so. For your Android phone, rather than sync the CalendarBudget feed through google, enter the CalendarBudget account feed directly into your phone as a subscribed calendar and it will update much more quickly (every 15 minutes if you set it that often).
In my case, I use m account feed on my google calendar AND separately on my iPod Touch. The google calendar always takes a lot longer to sync just because it caches things longer (I’m sure to alleviate server load).Eric Poulin
KeymasterDecember 1, 2010 at 4:25 pmPost count: 381I’ll check it out. When we originally tested it, it just depends on how often the mobile device/google calendar refreshes the data from CalendarBudget.
We’ll check again. We have a number of improvements to the regular calendar interface coming in a few days, after that, I’ll check on this problem. -
