I have a solution to differentiate whether my category spending is EXPENSE or INCOME : in CATEGORY SETUP set monthly budget to 0, and sidebar on left-hand side will show me in RED if it was EXPENSE or in BLACK if it was INCOME. Those items (INCOME) I can just EXCLUDE from “Category spending” report, and I have accurate info about spending for that month!

Each email will be VERY brief – less than a 5 minute read and will have some kind of assignment.
When I started using CB, I found 21-day-habit-forming EXTREMELY precious and useful, even though I watched all the videos in 5-7 days! :)
Good idea to make it brief (no one is patient enough to dedicate more than 5 min to one thing!)
Keep up the good work!

On the beginning of the month – it runs smoothly (there are just a few items entered), but at the end of the month it refreshes very slowly!ivicaSDParticipantMay 13, 2013 at 5:49 pmPost count: 13in reply to: Feature Request: Budget times #3932Hi
My budget runs from the 25th to 24th of each month due to my pay cycle.
This means that the budget window which reports on how your doing is always wrong for me.
It would be great to be able to set your budget cycle. Any chance?
Thanks
EmmaGood idea, I also have different pay cycle than budget cycle… but I made a habit of this kind of reporting, and I think I would not change my budget cycle habit… ;)
ivicaSDParticipantMay 13, 2013 at 5:31 pmPost count: 13One more IDEA on this topic (since I have a need for option like this) :
REPORTS should have some filter (simple checkbox, or radiobutton), which decides whether to use unmarked items for making a report or not.
Example: I look at my CATEGORY SPENDING report for this month, and I see COMPLETED items together with PLANNED ones. I would like to separate them and look at single report for COMPLETED items, or single report for PLANNED ones.

I hope it wouldn’t be too much work to make ONE field for currency rate (which would be manually refreshed by users) and use that rate in All Accounts view. I understand this is not a priority in your development schedule, since I don’t know how many users have multiple currencies…

ivicaSDParticipantApril 13, 2013 at 8:01 pmPost count: 13in reply to: Automatic Credit Card bill estimation #3939As I see this (I should read this topic for another 3-4 times to fully understand the need of wtanksleyjr) – you should make some RESERVATION of your funds. I would open another “virtual” account (named RESERVATION, for example) and transfer funds onto it! Also, I would make another transfer (back) on the exact date of credit pay-off. You could look at it as some savings account.
ivicaSDParticipantApril 13, 2013 at 7:29 pmPost count: 13I think marking of items that have a reminder is a good idea!
wtanksleyjr: you are right, changing colours would be confusing, but bolding the text, or putting small alarm picture next to it would be convinient.
I also think there should be some option to mark multiple items as “Completed”, since I have a lot items per day, some DAY COMPLETED or even WEEK COMPLETED would be very useful in my case… :)
