I’m imagine a checkbox somewhere in the main interface that would enable the showing of high/low.Eric Poulin

I agree – the report suggestions are good, and not hard to deliver.
I’ve added these report suggestions to our development plan – hopefully they’ll be available before we exit beta.
Feel free to add more report suggestions here – we’re open to thoughtful ideas.Eric Poulin

I ended up making budget categories global (same and shared for all of the accounts you create). This makes understanding your finances much cleaner and reporting is easier to understand.Eric Poulin
KeymasterJanuary 10, 2009 at 5:36 amPost count: 381in reply to: Rearranging Account Order #3599Good idea. This is a pretty simple adjustment.
What do you think about using the Account Setup dialog, allowing you to order your accounts there – and maintaining that ordering in the main Calendar?
We could add a sort button there for convenience if you prefer alphabetic sorting.Eric Poulin
KeymasterJanuary 7, 2009 at 9:53 pmPost count: 381in reply to: Holidays/ Bank Holiday Marking #3598I have a concern with adding to the transaction types. I don’t want to overload the meaning of the regular entry dialog. Currently its to enter a transaction.
I think it would be confusing to use that same dialog to enter bank holidays. Rather, I think this should belong under the setup menu on the toolbar, since it represents a global configuration for all of your accounts.Since the greatest number of my users are from US and Canada, I think it does make sense to maintain a list for those 2 countries and make it easy for the majority of users. I think I’ll use that as the “base” of a system that users can customize. So, as we discussed earlier in this thread, you can use these default values to seed your bank holiday list – or you can totally customize it.
You’re right about the existing repeating entries that will need to be mass-adjusted. But – luckily it will just be a one time hit to the system.

The system didn’t like a start date that was before there was any account activity.
It should be fixed now, at least I am no longer getting that error.
Let me know if anything else is causing you trouble.Eric Poulin

Its seems to not like when the dates span different years.
Investigating a fix asap.Eric Poulin

KeymasterDecember 31, 2008 at 5:44 amPost count: 381in reply to: Reports > Export Data to CSV File #3676Sure – these 2 requests are easy enough to do.
I’ll try to get them into the next system upgrade. The reloading time issue may have to do with IE7. If you have them, try Firefox 3, or Chrome – the are WAY faster for heavy javascript apps like CalendarBudget.

KeymasterDecember 31, 2008 at 5:42 amPost count: 381in reply to: Deleting a Bank Account in Account Setup #3675I have on my todo list to be able to actually “delete” those entries, not just transfer them to another account.
When each account had its own categories, when deleting an account I would create a new category in the target account called “Transferred from Account X”. Would it be better to preface each entry name, of put them all into a new category (then you’d lose all your categorization).Eric Poulin
KeymasterDecember 31, 2008 at 5:38 amPost count: 381in reply to: Holidays/ Bank Holiday Marking #3596I want CalendarBudget to be as useful as possible. I don’t want to have to maintain a long list of bank holidays by country (which may periodically change), and require people to declare the country they are in to be able to benefit from this feature… but maybe there’s no other way good way.
I could setup something that other calendars have… a single default list of bank holidays (for Canada/US), and let you customize the list for your area.
