KeymasterDecember 6, 2009 at 6:55 pmPost count: 381in reply to: Mark items as paid #3829There’s been some discussion in the past about this. You are the second to suggest it, therefore, I’ll put it near the top of the list.
I’ll think about how to best do this – could be an icon, color, border, etc… I’m leaning towards an icon at the moment.

KeymasterNovember 18, 2009 at 2:14 amPost count: 381in reply to: "Repeat" entries – icon and separation #3828That is also an interesting idea. We’d thought before about using icons as indicators, but didn’t move on it for some reason. I think for now, I’ll stay with the new mouse icon… but I’m going to put this idea on our consideration list. We may have several uses for icons if we go this route.
Thanks for your input!Eric Poulin

KeymasterNovember 16, 2009 at 3:55 pmPost count: 381in reply to: "Repeat" entries – icon and separation #3825I started with an icon kind of like these, and my tester said it looked like the icon was indicating you could re-order the entries on a day. I’ll show her these icon suggestions you’ve linked to and see what she thinks.

KeymasterNovember 13, 2009 at 9:41 pmPost count: 381in reply to: "Repeat" entries – icon and separation #3822I really like the mouse icon indicating repeating… Consider that on our high priority list (since it should be easy to implement).
When you move a repeating item by dragging it (or by changing it and setting the change to “Only this entry”) it does separate it from the series. You’re right in saying that you should no longer see the repeating details along with it. We haven’t seen this in our testing.
Can you give me an example of when this happens to you? If it includes your private data, please email me rather than share your data on the forum.

KeymasterNovember 13, 2009 at 9:36 pmPost count: 381We are mindful of this request, but there are a number of other features ahead in our queue.
Its probably time for me to update our development plans document so everyone can see what we’re working on.
I’ll do that this weekend and you should see this request in the list at least.
I’ll post the location of the development task list to the forum – hopefully tomorrow.Eric Poulin

KeymasterNovember 6, 2009 at 12:55 amPost count: 381in reply to: view my budget on google calendar #3804Hey – I like that suggestion.
I’ve been thinking about this idea more over the past few days… I think any entry in an iCal/xml feed should link back to CalendarBudget – I can create (in the return to CalendarBudget link) an encrypted way to log you in directly… just need to mull over the security of it.I’ve also been thinking I could create daily entries @ say 11:59pm on the day and make the daily account balance an all-day event so it appears at the top of the list. Each account would be a different feed, thus you could differentiate by color highlight (in Google Calendar).

KeymasterNovember 6, 2009 at 12:43 amPost count: 381in reply to: New Reports #3615Interesting idea about being able to report on only recurring entries.
I’m wondering about the utility of such a report. I’m having difficulty thinking of a good use-case for it. For example, would I ever want to see just my recurring entries isolated from others? Not sure…Or, are you suggesting that a report would show all data between a date range with start/end date range being either a) arbitrary or b) based on existing recurring event periods? The later could be challenging to understand – if I have an entry that repeat every week… will every week in the past/future be in a drop down?
I think I need more details to understand you properly.

KeymasterOctober 30, 2009 at 8:48 pmPost count: 381in reply to: Multiple Entries/Drag & Drop #3814You might find it easier to reset your account and use the Setup Wizard to import all of your transaction at once. The interface for first time use is better suited for this type of mass-import.
To reset your account, go to the toolbar Setup -> Account Setup and click the Reset button next to the account you want to reset. If you have Basic access only – this option is disabled – just send us an email message an we’ll reset your account for you. -
