We’re Switching From PayPal To 2Checkout For Subscription Payments
We want you to have the best experience possible with CalendarBugdet. Over the past months, we’ve had an increasing number of problems using PayPal directly. Many of you have experienced inconveniences like:
- Duplicate subscriptions and payments you’ve had to have refunded and corrected.
- Those cancelling their account have sometimes had subscriptions with PayPal continue.
We Want A Better Experience For Our Members
In order to overcome these and other issues to serve you better, CalendarBudget is switching to a new payment processor called 2Checkout. With 2Checkout, you can continue using PayPal or a number of other possible payment methods.
We’ve Cancelled Your PayPal Subscription, But Don’t Worry!
As part of this process, we had to cancel existing PayPal subscriptions. Don’t worry, your CalendarBudget account is safe and any time left in your existing subscription will be honoured. Beginning Nov 1, 2019, you’ll be prompted to resubscribe with the new system when your account expires . If you want to re-subscribe ahead of your expiry date, the new system will be available on Nov 1, 2019 through your desktop browser under Setup -> Membership Details.
Sincerely,
The CalendarBudget Team.
I have never heard of 2checkout before, and I have used and trusted PayPal for years. I don’t like the idea of using an unproven and unknown system of payment.
I understand what you mean. 2Checkout has been around since 2006. They are not newcomers to e-commerce. I’ve used their system with other merchants, which is how I heard about them.
There’s no need to fear. They are a huge, secure and stable e-commerce system powering some big brand names: https://www.2checkout.com/about/.
The good news is, you can continue using PayPal through 2Checkout if thats what you are most comfortable with. Going through their system benefits you by overcoming the most common problems reported by our users.
